After two years of service, they returned to the family farm north of Filer for 67 years of marriage before Mary’s passing in 2018, whom he has really missed. Their four children all grew up on the farm and feel privileged to have had the experiences life offered in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Both sons Dave and John have stayed with the family farming tradition in some fashion. Daughters Lynn and Phyllis are both retired educators but felt their upbringing on the farm helped shape their outlook on life. All four children credit their parents for their farm-related childhood and values.
